Jerry had some meetings in ATL yesterday I think. Anyone attend any, and if so, he say anything worthwhile? Or are we (ASA) still too costly? Righttttttttt Jerryyyyyyyyyy!

The announcement said it was to talk to the displaced ATL ramp and ground support people. He probably told them how they will be better of than the crews when it comes to travel benefits. (Then he probably had a little chuckle over it.):(

Sound's like someone who has been with this company for 5 years. Hasn't been able to upgrade, hasn't had a single raise to keep up with inflation even though the company makes record profits, went through this company making them move from Dallas to Atlanta to SLC to LA and now back to Atlanta all within a few years, and just got junior manned for the 2nd time this month because our Glass G.O. doesn't have the aptitude to sufficiently staff the airline.

How is he lying? He has said that your costs have to come down or you're history. How is that lying? Your management may have said something else. You may not want to hear what he has to say. But JA has been consistant.
 
When some people don't have anything to complain about, they will just make up stuff to complain about. And in their mind they are right. It's called schizophrenia!

More pilots need to research and learn the truth before they form opinions. But then Flightinfo would be pretty boring! :-D

Thanks for the support. Your true colors are shining through. At least we are trying to better our situation. And by the way, our costs on our 50 seat aircraft are lower than yours. So by that logic, your 50 seat fleet should be ours. Is that the way you guys want to play this game?
 
What logic is that? All I'm responding to is the rant by Tomct. I've never read a positive thing from him. He's like ASA's HelloNewman, but at the opposite end of the spectrum.
 
I have found that some here confuse a lack of truth, with not wanting to hear the truth. Just because you don't want to hear something, or don't like hearing something, doesn't make it untrue. Denial isn't just a big river in Egypt.......

Well said. The problem is most people either don't care, or are somewhere in the middle.
 
SKW will get all of our 50's and cost does not matter. We are paying guys on the 70 231 bucks an hour to fly during their vacation weeks. Pure brilliance.

Skywest and ASA have the highest profit margins for a regional airline in the world.

JA doesn't care. He already told our MEC chairman that if we're 1% above Skywest in cost, he will transfer the flying to Skywest. He also said never to any meaningful scope. It's all about business and profit to him. Settling our contract will cut into his profit.

He will continue to use his vast political connections to drag out negotiations while he bleeds us to death. Jerry bought an operating certificate, some airplanes, and ATL gates. Not an airline.

It now seems this was his master plan all along.
 
Sounds to me like we need solid scope protecting our jobs with Skywest.
 
Jerrry is probably in the guinnes book of world records for the longest standing airline C.E.O. That being said there are alot of QOL issues at SkyWest -->>PBS<<-- that will get the union in. Then there will be the fight for senirity as the two groups merge. Then Jerry will retire, and that is when I shall run, not walk, too a major.
