Ok, can someone tell me what is wrong with the CRJ picture in the link. You think with all of the money someone would spend on this "university" someone there would know how to crop photos.

You would be amazed at the fuel savings to be gained by operating with the engine covers on. When there's no air going through the engines you hardly use any fuel at all. All the ignorant people on this board just automatically assume that there is a "problem" by flying the plane this way; it's simply not so. Learn to think outside the box.

Rumor on another aviation forum was that JetU used to have full PNCL colors on the CRJs on their website, but PNCL asked them to remove their color scheme off the planes. As a result, JetU folks took off the PNCL (NW Airlink livery) and left just a bland red tail. The engine covers are probably a result of the modified livery.

Sounds like you never flew Cargo/charter for a 135 operator whose sole interest was how much money they made and not the safety of passenger and crew. I walked out while employed by one of those. Few monhts later, one of their pilots killed himself while executing a NDB appraoch and flying below MDA trying to get 'the job done' to please the owner and the chief pilot. Now, my friend, that's not just losing a limb, it's losing your life.

Having said that, not all 135 ops are dangerous.
