How to get the job: All airline pilots must have an airline transport's flying license. Applicants must be at least 23 years old, have 1,500 hours of flying experience and pass a written and practical exam. Most new airline pilots also have a college degree.

1500 hours - that's another myth. Reference all those 200 hour wonders flying around at the regionals.

CEO making 135k? I wish that's what they made.

Yeah that sounds about right. Base salary of 135k, plus incentive pay of 5 million, plus stock options worth 35 million, plus bonus pay of about 10 million, plus company paid housing, cars, meals, vacations and you get a pretty close picture of CEO pay....

Oh I forgot the multi-million dollar "loans" that are given to CEO's and then 'forgiven' a few years later.

So maybe we're only a few steps behind CEO's but those are some LARGE steps....

"How to get the job: Depends on the employer. Still, a well-rounded background, excellent interpersonal skills and solid work ethic will get you far." :erm:

I guess some airllines overlook this little "qual" when hiring our CEOs.

They also overlook it when determining our pay.

Large steps? Try a few states away!!
