I hold an SIC type should I check yes or no to "Typed in this a/c?". My commercial for those of you who havent seen one yet says CE-500, Restrictions: SIC Priv Only.

Just looking for the yes or no by definition.

Why wouldn't you? All it asks is if you have a type. And the fact of the matter is that you do. If it only gives you that "yes" "no" box and no other options then I would check yes. It's not a lie.

ugh..here we go haha. Thats what I was affraid of. I think I should check no but I'm going to hear both arent I...

It's not a real type rating. You can't be PIC of the airplane with it. Just be prepared to explain if they ask about it at your interview.

This is just like that thread on logging pic as an sic.

The answer is NO!

Look my father sits on the interview board at ? and he loves to ask guys to justify this policy....the intent is PIC Typed, needless to say if your trying to get around the intent GOOD LUCK getting hired.

Would you want to hire someone for your airline trying to screw the system...I didn't tink so.

And if you get caught and answer "Oh I guess I didn't know." Then that makes you stupid.

So your either a Snake or Stupid...either way He wouldn't hire you...

According to the FAA it's a type rating. I'd say it's more of a flaw with airlineapps.com rather than being "sneaky". If you're sending a normal resume, you can clearly write "SIC Privileges Only" after your type rating.

You'd think every interviewer would look at a pilots FAA public records before they'd be invited for an interview anyways.

This response just makes *YOU* look stupid. The question asked is "do you have a type rating" - the answer is "Yes". If you answer NO then you have answered the question incorrectly and somewhere on the form it may ask you to sign off that you have answered the questions truthfully.

If they wanted to know if you have a PIC type rating, they'd ask that question now wouldn't they? But that's not the question they ask. It probably will be soon when they figure out the question they are asking is not the question intended - but if you LIE on your application and say you do not have a type rating when you do, now that's a serious problem.

I'm sure your father, if he really sits on an interview board, is a LOT more intelligent than you are.
