CRJ engine problems out of DEN

Apparently, one of the engines "disentegrated" around FL230. N1 fan blades and cowlings separated from aircraft. According to the reports, there was an FAA inspector in the jumpseat at the time also.

I don't work for Mesa, but the information I saw was in an email sent to one of our MTC Controllers.
