That's a sure sign the merger is gonna happen.
Talks have stopped, for now. They may resume when both have exited BK as stand alone carriers. Our Creditor Committee has encourged our management to look for viable options to make sure their investment GROWS. Something will happen......

Yeah... Umm... I'm gonna need an article before I can believe anything in your post.
No way. Delta's gonna be a stand alone airline. Be careful what you wish for, Gerry...TC
"Delta and Northwest Airlines Corp. senior management recently held several meetings to explore a possible combination after Delta creditors pushed the airline to explore all merger options, according to people familiar with the matter. A combination of Delta and Northwest "is a very viable option," according to one of those people, but is likely to be pursued only after both airlines emerge from bankruptcy protection this year. Delta intends to leave Chapter 11 proceedings in April and has made its own proposal to creditors to emerge as a stand-alone company."
The creditors want a strong Delta, and there are other airlines out there that could make us stronger, without the extreme overlap of USAir. But, we will have to be on our own first. You are welcome.
