Excellent point, I hadn't noticed that. I searched the ntsb database and nothing comes up under emb 170 for it.

They didn't land with the parking brake on....there was a problem with the locked wheel protection logic. The pilots were lucky they kept the plane on the pavement after touchdown.

That was done last year while MidAtlantic operated the aircraft. The pilot mistakenly pulled the parking brake up in flight. He thought he had the speed brake lever pulled??? From what I heard, he did the carpet dance and was not fired.

Now these Mid Atlantic guys are flying our CRJs GREAT!

How did they take off with the parking brake on in the first place???

Or maybe the CA set in cruise flight? Yeah, right NOBODY could be that stupid...
I know of a E120 that landed with the parking brake on after the CA set it in flight while cleaning the cockpit...

Same thing happened with an ATR, although "allegedly" the parking brake was not pulled that time...

It was over a year ago at Midatlantic. Story has it the captain set the parking break as a reminder for crossfeeding..

Ask COEX about landing with the parking brake on in the EMB-145 after trying to transfer hydraulic fluid in flight and left the parking brake on and landed and blew out tires.

Very interesting designed logic.

The parking brake can never be set in flight mode(in the air) on B777 and B747-400.

Buck old boy. Where do you come up with this crap?

This incident was a classic Human Factors mistake. I am thoroughly familiar with this event and I will not put the details on this board.

You cannot transfer hydraulic fluid on the 170/190, and there is an EICAS message when you are cross-feeding fuel. Embraer has also added a brake on EICAS message on an upcoming software load.

If people are going to dig up old news on this board, at least get your facts straight, please.

Talked to the J4J F/O of the this flight, Capt. accidently pulled it thinking it was the speed brake and never released it. It can happen, it's right next to the speed brake, I once put my hand on it high and fast.
