Do the 170's that have DAL colors and fly under the feeders certificates financed by the feeders or by DAL?
 
From what I understand, he has stepped down as chief pilot. I dont know if it is just some sort of a threat tactic or what, but he has stepped down.
 
Terry is no longer Chief Pilot as of Jan 1st. His replacement has not been announced officially.
 
The Capt. I was flying went in to his office today and talked to him. The Capt. said that MGT got I little sick of him not being a "yes man". He mentioned that MGT wanted to lower the Upgrade mins, but Terry wouldn't budge.

Trust me, we'd be a lot better off with that "little guy" than we will be with the name I've been hearing.
 
Terry was fired. Who knows what reason. Terry will have his story.

His temporary replacement is Santi Lombardo. He had a stint as CP in the late 90's and didn't do real well. He is, most likely, not the guy who will be chosen.

Clive will want a "team player". Read: someone who will not look the other way on sick calls, junior manning refusals, etc. In other words, Terry's replacement will be a jerk. He will also be someone who will not undermine upper management. In other words, Terry's replacement will be an jerk. Clive will want someone who will tell pilots to take ferry flights that the Captain thinks is unsafe. In other words, Terry's replacement will be an jerk.

Pinnacle Captains better grow their balls and learn to be more like guys like Joe Hyde....knowledgable, straight forward and unwilling to take a lot of fecal matter. (I have never flown with the man, but I know him.)

It's going to be an interesting year.

Oh God... SL. That's NOT a good thing. If you thought Terry had a temper and a tendency to remember bad things you've done, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Santi made a great ground instructor, but not C.P. Betcha they lose half the MEM office staff either to other positions in Corporate or they quit altogether inside of 90 days if he becomes permanent.

So is TM going back to the line or was he completely released from PCL employment?
 
I think our contract has provisions for someone returning to line flying from management duties. Unless they caught TM stealing, he will certainly return to the line unless he just quits and goes to his European gig. Always wished that DW had exercised his rights to return to the line.
 
Pinnacle gets paid crappy enough, talk about selling out.

Poor mesaba fellas, they deserve so much better than the pinnacle w-hores
