mia an all jet base for american eagle?

a friend of mine, working for american eagle told me that mia would eventually become an all jet base.

is it true or even possible?

would that be compatible with the kind of routes out of Mia?

when would that happen if true?

An "all" jet base. No way. Perhaps someday a jet base as well as the ATRs. Rumors about Miami becoming a jet base have been around for years, just like RDU. And they're just that, rumors.

What are you talking about. We are going to get the other 25 CRJs, which will be based in MIA, and we will take over th S. America flying that AA does out of MIA. I have it from a good source here on FI.

I heard the same thing from my shoe-shine guy LGA.

Seriously, getting the other 25 CRJs would be a great idea. We need more 70-seaters... bad. They would create lots of upgrades and along with some movement from the recalls might attract some newbies.

We need anything in the line of planes. More CRJs, ATRs, SAABs, or even more EMB. Anything to cuase some movement.

You know thats not a bad idea from Panama and north since most of those flights are say MIA-MPTO (panama) and back. Panama is 2:45 from Miami it seems some regionals are already doing that. Would'nt surprise me.

we would just need over water stuff or stay close to land.
