Nice looking airplane. Will look nicer once they have enough to pull 1800 furloughees (or those who are willing to return) back off of the street.

Bender;
According to the latest AAA MEC update: Please remember we still have 1,656 pilots on furlough with 175 of those pilots working at Jets for Jobs carriers.

I'll bet 1/2 have gone on to bigger and brighter things.

That plane is exactly where it should be, MAINLINE!! All of the jets should have been at the mainline level.

Anyone know why it has a PT number instead of an N number? Is LCC registering them in another country?

PT = Brazil. Newly manufactured planes are initially registered in their country of origin for flight testing, etc.

From Airliners.net: PT-SIL (cn 190.00058) Intruducing the 1st E-Jet for the USAirways (mainline). It still using the temporary registration.

The airplane was not purchased until the 13th when we closed the deal. The tail number will be N944UW.

It will be arriving in CLT approx 1230 on Monday the 18th.

About half of them work at JetBlue. I think many of them will return if the price is right. Our lack of retirement (B Plan) will leave them no choice.

On another note, did US Airways choose the Dual HUD configuration or the Auto-land config.?

Now that is funny. I'd be surprised......Actually ,aybe they did cause they are saving a ton with those VERY UGLY PAY RATES!!!!!

Rumors about a CLT crewbase for the 190?

That rumor is leaning tward the 175's (unfortuniatly) going to Republic. The rumor people say the 175's will replace the Mesa 900's in CLT. The 900's will go west thus somehow get around the scope viloation being grieved now wrt the Mesa 900's.

Just what I was told. Take it FWIW. I was in recurrent this past month and the Rep DO said the first 175's will be based in the current Rep 170 bases (DCA, PIT, IND) but as more come it depends on where U wants the flying and according to him they (rep) did not know yet.

All the 23 yr old F.O.'s with their backpacks and Ipods are jumping for joy they are going to get to fly those planes now. Can we say SJS

Well sure. If CHQ/RP grows that means all of the frosted-hair ipod kids can get their 1000 pic-turbine faster and then be qualified to move to mainl...er... uh oh.

A flaw in the plan
