Interesting Move, guess this is ok but it is ashame they don't take the time to really look at the applicants that have tried to get aboard, they have missed a few good ones....

Props - I know of one. She already lives in SGU (anyone else would be crazy). SkyWest good - SGU bad.

If they are willing to throw 9K at someone, are they willing to offer a raise to current employees??? Ohh wait, I already know the answer...

Corporate Bull$hit. They'll quite happily put 100k in someone else's pocket but they won't put 1/2 or 1/3rd of that in their employees' pockets

Mesa is offering the same thing. You have to do 6 months in Crew Tracking then you are sent to school in TUS

We have about 12 people in the system who have a DX license and no hope of ever getting a job in Flight Control. :bawling:

Is there anything to the rumor that Dispatch and Crew Support might move to COS?

COS is just a rumor - we actually have from a reliable source, word that we will be moving to Elk City, Kansas. In recurrent classes we are shown a picture of the future office building, already secretly being built in there in Elk City. :D

If you hate SGU so much, why did you take the job and why do you stay?

SLC no better than SGU!!! I vote for COS!

What is so great about COS? You’ve obviously never been there.

OO needs to move OCC (DX, MX Control, Crew Sked/Tracking) out of SGU and to SLC...

Why?

How about just giving me the $9000 as a signing bonus?

Why? So you can hit the bricks in 6 months like half the other flakes that come here?

If they are willing to throw 9K at someone, are they willing to offer a raise to current employees??? Ohh wait, I already know the answer...

Would $9000 have made you stay? Or make you want to come back?

Relocate dispatch to somewhere commuteable and I am sure you could get a few bodies...

And how many people that are here already wouldn’t go? Now you have those people to replace. I don’t see the benefit.

At least in SGU, you can have as many wives as you want.

Dude, step back and really look at your comment. Are you telling me that putting up with more than ONE woman would be a plus? You're joking right? Keep it single like me, and you can play beach blanket bingo all you want with no reprocussions.

And in my opinion, I love being out here in SGU. Its the locale that keeps all the trash-dispatchers away and allows the quality people to actually come out here and stay. And I'm not saying we need huge pay raises, but at least a cost of living raise would go a long way.

How would Elk City, KS be better than SGU?

Are you serious? Elk City, KS is a major hub with destinations all over the world - direct flights even. SkyWest will even be starting the first Elk City to Frankfurt on our brand spankin new CRJ5000.

Hello? Anyone there? Hello? Hmm... The lights are on, but... Hello?
