completley out of curiosity....any guesses as to which regional carrier leads the pack in revenue and overall profit?

Well most revenue is probably the biggest carrier, which I guess would be skywest since the asa acquisition? If you can compare revenue compared to size of the operation then that would be interesting to see.
 
who cares - most contracts are pay for departure. How can you screw that up?
By bidding for less than the operating cost of the flight. "Pay to play" and then expecting employee concessions to make the airline profitable, that's where you're "screwed."
 
Does it really matter? It is all a shell game anyway.
