Figured this would be the right forum, maybe not, but I was just at Borders looking up a book for decks, and I stopped and took a peek at an issue of Airways. There was an article on Eastern so so I went right to it, and to my surprise, there were actually still about 6 employees still working on the Ch11/7/merger paperwork up until very recently. Even more surprising, is not only was there almost a New Eastern attempt (which by the way was going to carry a disgusting livery), but the article actually ended with the fact that the last order of business was to sell off the naming and logo rights. They were handed over, and when asked what the plans were, they said it would be hard to find captial for a startup airline, but not as difficult to re-brand the face of an existing carrier....thoughts?
Found this a few years ago....looks alot better then the attempt in the article....
