Um?

You have 7,000 hours. WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT GO-JET? I was a lowly TP Capt with less time and I got on with a real company flying large jets. What gives?

A former Waterski/Piedmont guy wants to know?

GP

wow, hit a soft spot with the 2000 hour thing. LOLOLOL soooooo sensitive!

no we hit a soft spot when 6 of my friends lost theyre jobs at TSA so you can sit in the left seat of a nice shiny jet while your communist CEO laughs all the way to the bank...since you think this whole discussion is funny and you say LOLOLOL all the time and you think your better than all of us lowly 50 seat drivers on here....why dont you do us all a favor and leave???????????

Oh m my sides hurt! I never said I flew for Gojet. I dont but, if I did I would not have a problem with it!! You guys need to go get a girlfreind!! Theres more important things in life. LOL! LOWLY 50 seat drivers??? I never said anything about the SIZE of your airplane! Hmm......sounds like someone has a little, little, little, complex about something...

Trans States should blame their useless union leaders for their downfall..... GoJet didn't steal jobs anymore than any other regional is stealing from mainline. It's as simple as that. This website is more trashy than the 'G'hetto gates at IAD.

Ghetto gates? LOL!!! First time I heard that...

Do you know the history for your self or are you trusting the company kool-aid servers?? Gojets ops manual was written by an atr f/o on reserve at TSA, just one of many examples! Another union busting tool of hulas'!!

Tool. Every RJ flying was given away by mainline scope. Goatjets is operating in violation of the intent of TSA scope. You turds found a loophole. That does not make it the same as a mainline pilot giving away their scope. TSA pilots never gave up scope. Your in violation of TSA scope and you took there growth and upgrades. Period. No more spin.

Allright, enough with trying to blame some pilot group or another for your situation. First off, just because mainline gave it away, doesn't mean that regional pilots should have done it for any less than mainline would have. But it happened and for quick upgrades, flowthroughs and STS. (shiny turboprop syndrome). Sound familiar? Secondly, a great many of the pilots I flew with when I was at the regionals PFT'ed, fastracked or spent close to 100K at some college or flightschool because they wanted a job, wait I mean a "guaranteed interview" with 300 hours. If you did, then you are a whore as well and have put flying jobs in a more percarious position than any pilot group. Management loves you guys more than any other. Recipe pilots who will pay that much for a 19k a year job to start. Brilliant. No wonder you Uberpilots can't think for yourselves. Shut your traps, do your job, mind your own business and don't throw stones when you live in a glass house. For those of you who came up without the shortcuts, you should be as outraged at the pilots who microwaved their career as you are at the Gojet situation. Hypocrites.

I didn't take the easy track to anything, but you can't write for sh!t. I tried to read what you wrote, but it didn't make any sense. English please.

What? I dont get what you are saying? I did not go to a pilot puppy mill or pay for a type rating or pay for training for that matter. No microwave career here.

You made no arguement that defended goatjet in your dribble. Rightly so. They cant be defended. They are in violation of TSA scope! TSA pilots never gave there scope away. Period.

It's amazing how this thread digressed from a simple performance question... Should have known it would happen.

You can read, you just are having difficulty comprehending. I am sure you can comprehend, but because you are in a biased mindset, you are reading the post in a defensive and small minded way. Couple that with the fact that you are more concerned about you being perceived as right in a public forum than you are about what actually is right and voila! You don't get it. It would be a waste of time trying to explain it to you. If you will just re-read the original post with no thoughts of it being directed at you, for you, about you, concerning you or how you are regarded in your tiny little world, the light bulb might just move to dim. Or you can stick to your oversimplified, narrow view of what you think the problem is. Kinda like the Nazis. I will give you a hint, because a lot of times small picture people need them. My argument was never intended to defend any specific regional pilot group. Rather, it was a indictment of the regional group as a whole. Of course focusing all anger and blame at a pilot group that has been around for 1 year has to be the reason that the regional industry has sucked from it's infancy. Makes perfect sense and the math adds up too! Hope that is a big enough hint.

I know Dal. Sorry I am guilty of contributing to it. I will try to stick to my 4 basic edicts of how to read a flightinfo thread:

1. Never read a thread that has the statement "This is not flamebait".

2. Never read more than three posts into the thread because after that it is never about the original thread.

3. Never read threads that has the words "I heard from a good friend who is at XYZ airline".

4. Never read a thread that concerns TSA, GJ, MESA or Republic.

What is nice about go jets is that after your first year there you get a nice two dollar an hour raise.

I answered the way I did because you quoted my post and then did not even respond ligitimately to it. I can assure you that you have no right to speak
Condescendingly to me. The subjuct is goatjet, not the industry as a whole. But since you brought it up, your arguement is terrible. The industry is bad because of the position that mainline pilots have put us in. They give concessions which lower the average wage for a pilot. They give away scope which moves more jobs to the regionals which also lowers the average wage as a pilot. But what might hurt the worst is the position they put us in to be a subcontractor with seperate seniority list and no brand scope. Subcontractors are always subject to the lowest bid. And then you have an industry that you see today.

In contrast, TSA pilots never gave up there scope. They did not give concessions. In fact they said no to a terrible bad deal. What did NW, Delta, United and US Airways say to there bad deals? What scope did they give up? Very different. In fact, Many regionals have said no to bad deals and got hung out to dry by there mainline brothers. Like Air Wisconsin, Mesaba, Expressjet, TSA and Independence. They all got screwed because of the system they were left by the mainline. Your a condecending tool that wants to blame regional pilots that have no leverage thanks to the mainline.

Goatjets is in violation of the TSA pilots scope and has had a very negative impact on the advancement and quality of life of TSA pilots. They gave TSA management the tools to breakdown that pilot group for their own selfish gain.
