Anyone know if/how we can access the morning reports on OurASA? I know there was a link under OCC back when we had MyASA, but I can't find anything now. Frankly, I can't find a freakin' thing on OurASA. Another waste of money on a POS product by ASA management.
I shouldn't look at this stuff on my off days....
You have no "off days". You just have days that scheduling elected not to junior man you.
Thanks guys. Very interesting stuff, though as you've said, no surprise about the operation. I'll summarize for those who don't want to wade throught it all.
1) Crew coverage is good for CR2 and poor for CR7 & ATR.
2) We cancel flights daily for coverage.
3) Last month we were cancelling some flights a day in advance due to coverage.
4) Nearly every late originating flight in the morning is due to crew rest issues.
We've talked about the staffing issues many times on here. I simply don't understand why the company does this to themselves. Scott and Charlie are directly responsible for this due to their refusal to believe closing SLC would be a problem and failing to plan accordingly.
Remeber, the company wants us to be the second lowest cost DCI carrier soon. Maybe when they stop paying junior-man pay and putting people into hotels for cancellations, we can get there. Oh yeah, don't forget the 600 rooms we have at at SLC Red Lion this month for crews and the several hundred hours of deadhead time between ATL-SLC.
Perhaps if we didn't have so many reduced rest overnights or 9 hour overnights with 10 hour duty days to follow, we wouldn't have to delay everything in the morning.
I shouldn't look at this stuff on my off days....
This should help.
