It's no big deal. All they will ask you regarding that is if you understand that, if offered employment, you have 6 months to attain the type rating.

Seems SWA is calling a lot more people without the type. I just interviewed (with the type) and there were 10 guys there interviewing without the type. Also 2 more co-workers got the interview call without the type.

Now as far as getting the job offer without the type I have no idea, but I am sure SWA wouldn't interview you if they wanted you to have the type.

Bottom line, don't worry about the type if you got the interview.

The 2 additional guys that got called from 8/24, what letter does their last names start with? It seems that calls are coming in alphabetical order. We need to know what letter they are up to.

One of my buddies who interviewed and is waiting to hear, heard that the group was split in 2 and that another DB will meet in the beginning of OCT. He thinks it's by alphabetical order. SO if you didn't get a call or a letter plan on waiting til october to find out your fate with SWA..good luck to all involved...

8/15's calls were to a Ca, Ch & an H. In that order. Perhaps the conspiracy theory is on the money for alphabetical order.

From what I have heard from all sources, it seems that they are calling in alphabetical order. So far the first letters that got a call were C's then H then J, if your name falls after that then you may still be in the running. It also seems that about 2 to 3 calls per day seems to be the average.

Aug 24 just had 1 more called (total of 4). Last names are C, H, J, & L. The end of L's or the beginning of M's is about half way thru our list.
