This is my first post on this board. It seems many pilots use this board to pass along information to other pilots in the industry. It also seems that some pilots like YourPilot get a rise out of posting inflamatory statements. This should not bother any of you. Anyone that spends that much time on this or any other board has bigger problems than you and I.
YourPilot thinks thinks you as "regional" pilots owe him something. He is a furloughed NWA Pilot, so you must have stolen his job. I guess Mesaba stole jobs from ExpressOne years ago. I guess Pinnacle stole Mesaba jobs the past few years. Mesa is stealing all of our jobs. When you figure out who is stealing who's jobs, please inform me. The simple fact is that most "regional" pilots have as many or more years in flying than most furloughed NWA pilots. Another fact that YourPilot may not have noticed is the "regional" pilot is now the short haul "domestic" pilot.
You may think the "regional" pilot caused this problem. Years ago at the time of the NWA strike. The Mesaba pilots wanted to join the NWA senority list. The NWA pilots and ALPA national choose scope to control the regionals instead. With that decision they seperated the pilot groups. It was the "majors" against the "regionals". Scope pitted us against each other. Scope has created a conflict between ALPA national and the regionals. We are the "scurge" of the industry. Scope is why YourPilot is at home reading regional pilot boards inbetween long stints of chatting with high school girls on "myspace.com".
If Mesaba or Pinnacle receives growth jets I am willing to bring in furloughed NWA pilot to fly them. However, I am not willing to give them senority above anyone at our company. They were not willing to give us senority on the bottom of their list 8 years ago.
I hope we are all willing to work together with the NWA pilots to figure out a mutally beneficial plan to bring our 3 groups together. We can only fight this together as one senority list. Guys like YourPilot will always be out there, but in spite of him we will survive this period.
YourPilot, you really have to get a life. Yahoo has some good chat boards. Go there.
