Your take home 2nd year pay?

Okay, I'm at a regional. I make $19 an hour this year, with a jump to $34 next year. What will my take home look like for year two?

I am Waaaaayyy broke and looking forward to second year pay...

A good rule of thumb is approximately your hourly rate times 1,000. So, $34,000 minus your taxes. It's still not as much as you are worth, but it sure is nice after seeing $20,000 the first year.

I'm currently on 2nd year pay, working hard(95-100) credit, and take home is roughly 1300 per check. Just to give you an idea.

I have been able to estimate my take home by getting my total hours, multiplying by payrate, and then taking home about 71% of that, plus per diem.
i e .. 37.5 hours (half garuntee) + any overages * $35 (hourly rate) * .71 + per diem.

The 71% works for me because that is about what taxes, 401K and other deductions are taken out, and that is what I am left with for take home.

I was on first year pay for Jan, Feb, March and 1/2 of April. The rest of the year I was on 2nd year pay. My total takehome BEFORE taxes was a little over 43,500. I am at Comair and this was BEFORE the new contract. JFK based Lineholder.

you are guaranteed 75 hours, so 34 X 75 = 2550 x 12 = 30600 plus @ $3,300 per diem, puts you at @34,000 if you never flew over guarantee.

Try to fly those long 4 day trips if you can tolerate it. You can get over $400+ in NON-taxable per diem. That always helped me.

That's quite accurate!

In my second year (at 35.38/hr) I'm on pace to gross over $43k for 2007 including per-diem. After all deductions (taxes, dues, travel, 401k, insurance, disability, etc) my net bring home should be just over $29k including per-diem.

depends on where your working....im at expressjet. im on second year $34 an hour roughly.... i have been picking up alot of deadhead pay and lots of time and a half, last month i gross $5300 including per diem. the month before that i once again picked up lots of deadhead time and time and a half, grossed $4600. the month before that grossed $4500. My friend works the system better than me, i saw his pay stubb at $6,002. so if you wanna work alot and know the tricks, u can make alot of money.

I wouldnt consider $40,000 a year alot of money in this day and age...no matter what line of work your in
