So I guess I'm about to throw up in my mouth a little. I actually agree with PCL (frosted hair) 128,

at least he got rid of his back pack.

by the way,

side bar...

What is wrong with all you commuter fresh out of college turds? Do you know how stupid the backpack looks? And where did you miserable hemmoroids get your jumpseat etiquette? I'd would have thought you were jetblue or Skywirst Stews? I mean WTF? "Hey Cap, I got your jump seat, your agent put me in the back?" as you sling your back pack over your shoulder????

Did you enjoy the NIGHT you had to spend in that airport you freekin ********************e boy?

Ok I feel better, rant over-

Where was I?

I don't have a problem with Biden, or Haircut 100 Edwards, but if all you libs don't let the DNC know how you feel, welcome to socialism with Hillary. At least the Russian will be happy, it will feel more like home.

Frosted hair? Backpack? You really don't know me.

If you wish you can call this poster "chicken little" and put your head in the sand.

Open skies agreements (cabotage) is just the beginning and this is how foreign pilots will fill our skies just as foreign truck drivers are now doing.

American pilots are not dummies they are getting out of this business in droves, many highly qualified men and women are bypassing a career in aviation right out of college. This has been happening in the maintenance field for a long time. Before an A&P graduate hits the streets a head hunter from non aviation industries offer them more money turning wrenches for them. Much more money and benefits, less stress, it's a no brainer.

When this happens you will hear, "no American (pilot) worker wants the job."

Sound familiar? Of course we know they really mean "they won't work for the low wages we pay."

I for one am not worried. Just stroll by any flight school that trains Chinese, Indian, whatever pilots and you will see that they are for the most part sub-par.

The Mexican pilots' union will never allow Mexico to enter into an open-skies agreement with the US because they would get spanked badly.

You are assuming that the Mexican pilot's union has more influence over its government than Alpa has over ours. IMO the Mexican government will never miss out on an opportunity to export labor to the US.

What you don't know might actually hurt you...

Ignorance is bliss...Having instructed at one of these places, I can tell you that the training they undertake is harder than anything you did to earn your PPL. Their first aircraft was an A36, their second aircraft and first twin was a B58. They had over 120 callouts and checklist items before they were on the runway...all verbatim. Airline trained from the beginning. At 200 - 250 hours, these guys are headed to 747 ground school...

They do. Pilots in Mexico make VERY good money. Not only that, but their pilots must join the union before they even go to an airline.

Mexican airlines are losing money right now as well. They are not stupid, and they do not want US airlines coming in to fly their domestic routes because they know they would be destroyed.

As for the Chinese, I work at a flight school that trains them and I agree about going from here at 200-250 hours to an airbus or boeing groundschool class. With that being said, some are very good pilots, while the others (at least half) make aweful command decisions, have busted checkrides because their English is so bad, have gotten us more than 2 or 3 calls from the tower, can't fly a traffic pattern, and overall could not fly in the US on a regular basis.

Another sell-out of the American Worker

Woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and read this:

http://www.nbcsandiego.com/politics/...s=dgo&psp=news

If I was filthy rich, I would open a flight school in Bangalore, India and train a ***tload of pilots at 10 cents on the dollar.

Hell, I might even call all the airline CEOs to pitch in. (Anyone have Arpey's number? Or that clown from Skybus?)

Imagine: A state-of-the-art pilot training center in Bangalore or Mumbai...with extremely motivated, intelligent, college-educated flight students getting type-rated on 737s, 757s, EMBs...you name it. We could churn out pilots by the THOUSANDS!

Those "GRADUATES" would just love to come over here and fly for 25k/year.

That's your future, boys and girls. Don't like it? Tough ****! You won't get off your lazy, collective a$$es and do something about it.

I know, I know. You pay your dues to SWAPA, ALPA, APA, Teamsters, NPA, etc. Sure, that's enough.

You're probably just gonna sit there and take it and make fun of all the Teamsters truck drivers who are losing their pay & livelyhood. After all....they're only dumb truck drivers. Anyone can drive a truck. You're special:

You are a highly-trained AVIATOR. Your job can't be outsourced. LOL.

I would lobby Congress to exploit the upcoming "pilot shortage". I would have all my minions in the news media force-feeding the idea that american pilots are overpaid and underworked prima-donnas.

"Hey, John Q. Public: Your airfare is waayy too high. It's because the average pilot makes $185,000 per year. AND THEY ONLY WORK 85 HOURS PER MONTH! Pass this law, and your airfare gets lower!"

THEN, I would be able to pass a law to allow those Indian-trained pilots to fly for all the US carriers under some bull**** 'special dispensation' clause.

It will all be sold to the gullible American public because it is good for the consumer.

If I can think of this plan, you know some Frank Lorenzo/Johnathan Ornstein-type is already working on it...and I'm just a dumba$$ pilot.

Why am I going off on this? Because you guys need to wake the ***k up! Some of us already have.

HAVE YOU?

Get off your collective a$$es and do something. Get involved. ****t, run for office. ANYTHING. Stop being a blind, helpless lemming letting the corporate henchmen, politicians, lawyers and the corporation-controlled media take you, me and the middle class for a ride.

Red state vs Blue state....D vs R...it's all BULL**** POSTURING. Divide and Conquer. Oldest trick in the book.

AMERICANS: WAKE THE **LL UP!

Since it is the 9th circut, they probably will rule in favor of the teamsters.

Actually, this wiil ensure the american worker wakes up. As soon as some of those cheaper goods start putting folks out of business, as soon as some of those cheaper trucks and cheaper drivers start killing families by the van full, then the public will wake-up.

I have awakened.

I am no longer buying clothes from China, like anything from Columbia (which used to be 100% USA made).

Remember when Walmart sold 100% USA?

I don't shop Walmart anymore.

Small steps folks, take it back.

Wal-Mart never sold 100% American goods...Never not even in their first store. That was corporate propaganda that folks like yourself believed. And the lady that sued Mcdonalds for millions for having hot coffee spilled on her only got 410,000 and she will never be able to run, enjoy sex or sit normally again. After her attorney fees she gets probably half of the 410,000. But according to fox news people are suing left and right and become millionaires. The individual in this country is losing its rights to the corporation. And fools like scoreboard believe in the sham.

And that's McDonald's fault??? News flash....coffee is hot....don't spill it in your lap.

It's not that simple. There's a difference between "hot" and "excessively (as in needlessly boiling) hot." In any event, her lawyers were able to convince a jury of her peers of this distinction.

Yes, it is that simple. She spilled it on herself. She was the one responsible. I have drank many a coffee from many different places that would have burned the heck out of me if I had spilled it on myself. I was careful and didn't.

As far as a jury, that doesn't surprise me at all. They probably felt sorry for her. Besides, who cares? McDonalds (or their insurance) can afford it. That attitude is the problem....

JMHO.....

She was certainly 100% responsible for spilling coffee on herself. McDonald's was 100% responsible for the coffee being scalding (as in burn your lips and throat) hot. The jury decides the percentage of responsibility for the injuries - just like in a car accident. The driver is responsible for crashing the Pinto, but the manufacturer is responsible for building a fuel tank that exlodes much more easily than in similar cars.

One benefit of all this is that when I buy a McDonald's coffee (which hasn't been in years) I don't have to wait 30 minutes for it to cool to a non-blistering temp.:crying:

All he did is cite their claim. Certainly didn't read anything about McDonald's.
Sounds like Scoreboard is against Wal/Chinamart ("the corporation") - so I don't know what sham you're referring to. I think we all know Wal-Mart has helped ushered in the abudance of goods from China,et.al.
Back to the topic, cabatoge will probably happen because that is what corporations and government want.

Gimme a break. Unless you do all of your shopping at the local farmer's market (Look honey, we can buy the kids clothes made from hemp!), guess where it's made?

Where do you shop?
