I'm wondering what a good daily rate is for a contract pilot flying HP singles and light twins in the Southwest. Just trying to put a proposal together.

Thanks.

I know that Cirrius just hired some contract pilots at $200/day. Not in the Southwest, but hope that helps.

I think in the SW $150 a day for singles/$250 a day twins would be reasonable, but $250/$350 wouldn't be too high either. It all depends on what the work is.

I'd take less to fly a well equipped airplane regularly, and would want more to fly something with old radios just for a one way trip--and I'd make sure to do it VFR.

But I'd also want more to do some post-Mx flying--some of that stuff is scary!
