The sound of cookie crumbs hitting the floor in Oak Creek.

indirect quotes: (as formulated through press releases)

"More 50 seat RJs for the continued Midwest Expansion, Hello Skywest????"

"were looking at a replacement for the md-80's, we've been doing this 1998, but we've narrowed down to 2. We will have a SLT team do some further investigation, and then have more meetings to discuss it's viabilty"

"We spent over 4 million dollars to fend off those evil southerners, and we found refuge in the arms of these nice Texas Pacific/Northwest folks"

OIL just hit $91.86 a barel, 50-seat airplanes not economical in that environment. Will be interesting if Oil stays this high. There are now predictions for $100 dollars by the end of the year!

how much did it rain down in hotlanta? is the drought over?

TPG didn't spend $200+ million to lose money. if this keeps up i would expect senior management to be out of jobs soon, which is what TPG did at Continental. hey nwa was involved in that one too.

besides i can use the air tran thread type killer and say, "this thread is about midwest, what are you trannies doing on our thread?" you guys act like the pilots here want to see 50 seaters growing and being flown by the mormon mob (i hope they have their special underwear on).

on a sidenote, espn is predicting the bulls to win the east......it's over before it even begins, we're doomed. bring on the rapist from SoCal.

Heyas CL,

Don't sweat it. Quite a few AT guys I know have some sort of weird pent-up inferiority complex that comes bubbling up every time anything to do with their company comes up.

I had an AT guy literally scream at me a year back when I just mentioned that I didn't think that NWA was going to let AT just waltz in and set up shop.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago...I run into this same guy, and he screams at me again, except this time it's all my fault (guess he had his bags packed for MKE or something)...like I had ANYTHING to do with it.

"Hey Douggie, it's Nu. What's going on? No, nuttin' here either. Hey man, there's this AirTran guy I really want to torque off, so could you, like, ruin their plans in MKE? Really? Oh man, that'd be super. Sure, I'll send my love. 3:00 tee time on the course, right? See ya then" <click>

Whatever.... Besides, I'm going to go setup my own airline. With Blackjack....and hookers! Ahh, forget the airline...

Nu

Forget "Save The Cookie"....time to "Eat The Cookie and Burp It Up". I'll always remember Midwest Express for what it was in the old days...one of the best domestic carriers.

we still are the best domestic carrier. i am enjoying some nice salmon, bbq pulled pork, etc, but you're right a far cry from the beef wellington served on fine china with all you can drink champagne days.

unfortunately growth is now entrusted to a company who thinks you need to wear special underwear to get to heaven. the "best ware under there" strategy.

perhaps TPG will get the ole' ballcoach on board. c'mon Spurrier beat the hicks in knoxville tonight!
