How long does it take to get a widebody FO position in either SFO or LAX? I've heard there is a seat lock. So does that mean two or three years, or can you get it right out of training? Thanks

Thoust must wait

The company and union recently negotiated cancellation of all seatlocks for anyone bidding the 767 FO seat. That was negotiated for those who wanted a 767 slot but none were available upon recall. So the only way a 767 FO spot would happen is if no one bid it for the next year and a half.

3 years in the guppy or fi-fi after hire date and then I would expect the 767 to be available, lax and sfo are not that senior for that fleet.
