Now check this one out!

http://epicaviation.com/first-officer-training-course.htm

20 grand for 110 hours SIC in a BE10. Why not go to GIA? My question is how good are those SIC hours in a King Air when trying to go to the regionals? The Captian usually fly's these 135 routes by themselves, now someone to help on the radio's.

Sorry about the post on another PFT

You're late. :)

I mentioned this deal between Epic and Vintage Props and Jets several weeks ago. I was saddened to hear of it because some of the folks at Epic are nice people. The deal is to get preliminary training at Epic for the King Air, and then go to VP&J for FO work to the islands.

I can't tell you how bad I felt when they told me about it.

Epic - not

P-F-T notwithstanding, the long and short of it is that multi PIC talks and questionable SIC time walks.

Use the 20K to get your MEI. Instruct and build multi PIC. Save the rest - you may need it someday.

Read the current GIA thread for a good cross-section of opinion. Then, come back and let us know what you think.
