Does anybody know if this is a good place to work right now?
I know about the pay,but how about the flying and training?
Thanks!

Its ok. Im a ca there. Used to be called Casino Express. some growth, almost all day trips. Part 121 carrier that has about 75% vaccation trips, carribean, Mex, Costa Rica, etc with the balance sched trips to about 50 destinations or so. Pay freeze still in effect (almost 5 years). We have jump seat recips with about 85 different airlines, so almost everyone. bases are CVG SDF and ENV (Wendover Utah). we got rid of the -200 737's and now have 400's and an 800. supposed to be getting 4 more planes by the end of the year. Hope this helps.

Almost forgot, training is done in house, we use sims at ATL, DEN, and occaisionally Alteon in a couple of other places.

-Upgrading captains return to Year 1 pay
-Most junior captain hired: Sept 2005

Everyone should turn this place down.

didn't invite ya anyway

Yeah it really sucks to be employed. I came here a little over a year ago (Independence Air guy). Im one of those at year one captain pay. 3/06-157 hrs pay (flew 55), 4/06 181 hrs pay (flew 62) 5/06 109 hrs pay (took some time off, only flew 45 hrs). On track to make about 120k this year gross. Im ok with that.
I guess with a statement like "everyone should turn this down" means that 1000 resumes on the chief pilots desk wont be competing with you. Im glad things are working out for you.

Okay, I spoke with SK when he was trying to sell me the job and he never spoke of numbers like that. He basically hired me over the phone, which worried me a bit. Tell me how you fly 62 hrs but get paid 181 hrs? You have my attention..Of course, with about an average of 130 hours pay a month at $59 per hour, first year capt pay comes to $92,000 per year. Not bad for an Elko operator

Anyone know what minimums are competitive. Total time and PIC time? Ex-military? Ex-Major? Former 737 pilots? Etc. Are the days off all together or impossible for commuting? I saw one of the planes on the ramp in SDF and it looked pretty nice.

Ask Dashiell about his "G-Roll." That should answer all your money concerns.

Anybody get hired?

Hey,

Did anyone get hired from that last round of interviews? What were your impressions?
