It was simply a question....
Don't know where you think that there was any attitude.

No harm no foul. There are pleny of former 121 instructors who start as FOs. Don't assume that will advance you ahead of others waiting for PIC - that's the point.

Good luck.

Unless u have a CL300 type and you are current in it. Since Bombardier has only 2 sim's on the world for the 300 and currently working on a third one in MMU, that will relief some pressure from the other two, may be u have a 20% chance to get a PIC position......
My understanding is that Bombardier will type two pilots per A/C as per part of the sale, but I think that they need more than just 2 crew members type...

The hiring hold will be brief.......so brief you won't even know its there. Passenger seats coming apart??? I don't think so, our birds are brand new. :)

All right, i give up. This airline deal is looking UGLY!! I want to throw my hat in. One month, two months, six months, I don't care! Where do I sing up?

Im glad XO is going with the Global....

Now when they go t*ts up I can say NetJets and Bombardier did it to them.

The Globals will be for the Middle east operation only, It was stated from their CEO that the US will be a 2 aircraft operation only, that being 1 class of aircraft, the X and the 300, while in the Middle east it is all about range, so that is where the Globals will be, not in the US.

They are a very successful operation right now, and for such a crappy economy to get such a huge cash investment proves that investors believe in XOJets business model, and so far they have proven it works

No flame to NetJets, but I bet that XOJet did look at the Gulfstream, only that XOJet wants to get the Middle East operation up and running by years end, and I doubt that they would be able to get a GBird that quick versus a Global, since they are not selling as fast and I am sure with the huge 300 order, they can get a better deal than for a GBird, the only problem with the Global will be sim time since Simuflight only has one in Montreal, and Flight Safety has only one in Wilmington, that makes things tough.

One of the things I love about being an American, is the freedom of speech! God Bless the U.S.A.!

Being 121, I know how seniority works. I was not trying to "get cuts". I was just wondering what chances were, since they are advertising for PIC as well.

You will be happy to sit right seat for a while to get used to your new career. And, I mean that seriously. I too made the transition from the CRJ to fractional and now corporate. We really are spoiled in the 121 world! Nothing too major, but the corporate side of the airport has a different "beat"!

If you are at ASA now, (I assume based on "EV" and your profile) you are gonna love making the transition! And, soon you will know the true meaning of PIC; papers, ice and coffee!

Cheers- Rum
