XM/Sirius for Latin Am flying?

Which service offers best reception? My trips are Texas area, and lots of trips to Mexico (MMTO, MMGL) and to Central America. Non-stops KSAT to MMGT.

1) Which service would be the better one, for reception?
2) Which portable is the recommended? I hear that the XM2go MyFi is pretty much recommended. How about a Sirius recommendation?
3) Any other info is welcome
