Anyone hear the same rumor about XJT thinking about opening an Orange County base?? Doing some West coast flying??? I talked to an XJT jumseater on my plane the other day!!

I was in an XJT js the other night. They told me ONT.

They are scrambling to find a place for the planes they are loosing. Last I heard was they were thinking of some " Low Cost Shuttle" between second tier cities.

Perhaps we should get Mx to purchase a wrench or two to 'tighten' them up. A 'loose' airplane is a bad thing...
FYI - we are not 'loosing' any airplanes, nor are we LOSING them.

Sorry after drinking a few complementary beers on the Executive Level of my Hotel my spelling tends to go down hill.

Not going to be in competition with SWA.

If you operate an airline and that airline is not SWA, you are a competitor in one way or another. They're the Wal-Mart of the skies.

We will not intend to have direct route competition. We have two main goals. 1) Do not attack network airlines in their hub routes (Flyi). 2) Operate to markets that that warrant service but would lose money with anything other than 50 seat RJs. I think we actually are going to codeshare with a number of carriers--maybe even Continental. But the new paint job is horrid.

I heard that yesterday (in the training center of course). The emphasis is getting away from CPAs and concentrating on codeshares.
As for the paintjob, it ain't pretty, but its ours, and that's all that really counts.
