Any recent new hires at XJT would like to elaborate on the interview process. Still the same format as previous gouges? Any one get the call to fax in your resume lately, when did you apply? Thanks

I heard that they changed things a little. Instead of a group ball busting they have set up a 3 car wash process. 1st - sit around and talk about the your experience and type of a/c. 2nd - Put you in a situation to see if you will stick with you answer like.......the nav light is out what are you going to do. 3rd Jepp's and why do you want to work here.

Thanks for the info.

Yo anthony...You'r going to so ready for this interview..can't wait to see you punkass around ewr..lol

AviationInterviews.com gouge is right on. Lots of posts there. If you follow the advice there (particularily about paperwork) and know your Jepps cold, you'll do fine. Make your logbooks as perfect as you can too.

XJet FO is right, the format is three "stations". You'll get a Jepp chart/ approach procedures grilling, a scenario-based and aircraft technical grilling, and then an HR grilling on your background and career aspirations.
Good Luck, all the folks I know working there like it fine. Looking forward to training, but I'll miss my newborn son while I'm down there....

One thing that I would advise everyone on is to know your aircraft cold. I was in the last group interview they did back at the begining of August. They sat all 28 of us in a room and 2 captains came in trying to be as big a jerks as possible. Guys were folding up like a deck of cards. I was the only one that got hired that day out of 28 guys. Not because I am the best pilot in the world but because I preped myself on jepp's, IFR procedures, and MY AIRCRAFT. Guys would say the dumbest things when they were questioned on specifics like how can you log time as PIC or SIC, does your a/c have turbo's, what type engines, service ceiling, etc. People were just sitting there in drunken stupper and you could tell that Dawn and the other 2 captains were crossing them off the list. Know your aircraft and I hope to see everyone in EWR soon.

Express jet wants copies of tax returns and w-2's------How far back do you have to get the w-2's or tax returns?

The tax returns/W2's are for times in your work history that can't be verified by an employer (unemployed, employer out of business, etc.).
I think they wanted it back only 5 years for that. W2's are fine for employers who no longer exist, but you need the returns for times you were self employed or unemployed.
I was missing one, but they let me fax it in after I got home.
