can anyone tell me how many days out of the 5 per week do you actually fly?can they call you for a 2 day and another 2 day in a week?in other words,is it a pain in the #$%@ more than a good thing.
i live 4 hour drive from base,should i bid for that?i am not realy looking to fly too much.

XJT long call is a 12 hour call out. Once they have your working they can fly you for your entire reserve period. It all depends, some times your dont do anything and other times you get worked real hard.-- But definately bid long call-- it means you can have a life and a beer when on reserve.

Long call are the first to be called though-- use 'em or lose 'em

The contract says that 10 percent of reserve line have to be long call, that equals about 6-7 in EWR and 13-14 in IAH. So they are kinda hard to get. They always go senior.

I probably won't ever hold one... Ill jump from short call to a relief line.
