First day of interviews with furloughed pilots. Seemed like a great group of pilots that all appreciated XJT giving them a hand. Rumor is that almost all got hired.

the title of this thread should be ASA, PSA, Pinnacle, Skywest, Colgan, Air Wisconsin hiring furloughees!!! take your pick they are fighting over you guys with experience, the rest of us will wait until the smoke clears.

It was a really good class, hope to see everyone back in march. Lots of good experience and great personalities. Hats off to the XJet crew. They did a great job, they truly want to hire you. It's your job to loose. STUDY!

I believe the count was about 14 Indy guys and gal, 3 chico and a flight instructor. kinda felt bad for the flight instructor he seemed abit intimidated by all the high time around him, but we asured him that he would most likely make us look bad!

Correct. Almost all Indy guys were hired yesterday.

Welcome aboard! The more, the merrier.

By this do you mean that some candidates didn't successfully make it through, or that empoyment is contigent on their furlough at I-Air?

Some candidates (very very very very few) didn't successfully pass the interview. Virtually every single Indy pilot was hired.

If these guys have the guts to want to continue working in the airline business (and start at the bottom again as a junior FO) after they already invested 3-5 years at another airline, all I can say is welcome and I hope this turns out better than things have gone at your previous companies.

I think it is a class act that X-Jet and the others are hiring all those furloughed pilots.

Hope they all work out, so we can keep such a trend going. Many airlines shy away from hiring pilots who are furloughed.

Cheers

Indy MEC said all their pilots were hired except 1 "negetive" candidate. We all appreciated the chance to jump to the front of the 4 month wait for an interview.

Will miss the pay and people at Indy but what can you do?? Exjet seems to also be a great company loook forward to getting on the list and climb from the bottom once again.

Very happy to have you aboard.
