Does anyone know the breakdown of classes at XJT? Any idea how many more classes/new hires can be expected this year?

At least a few more

Dawn told me there are class dates at least through July 25th. Air Inc reported that they will hire 250 this year and these classes would put them close to that number. I'm sure you'll get a better answer from another reply.

I've heard from someone in the training department that they aren't anticipating a slowdown until September but I don't know how good of an answer that is for your question. A late July hire would still be in the training cycle in September so that might mean they'll be done with the major hiring soon OR it could be that they'll be hiring as they are now until then.

Another factor will be the next CAL bid. If they recall any at all (keeping those fingers crossed) they'll have to adjust their hiring here as the flowbacks leave.

Last info I heard was about a month ago. Between 300-400 by the end of the year. Probably not so many now, as some CAL guys I've spoken with said there will only be one more recall class in Sept. and then starting up again beginning of the year. May slow things down for awhile, but with staffing levels low and more A/C deliveries, I think they have to continue at least a class a month.

It would be nice if we would hire in anticipation of CAL recalls next year so we don't end up in a position like we have now, being short on FO's
