Jim Ream's (president) midmonth voice mail:

Dec: 32 new hires in training
Jan-Mar: 192 new hires trained

Said CAL will recall its furloughed pilots on this schedule:

Dec 38
Jan 40
Feb 34
Mar 30
Apr 30

at which point all CAL furloughs will be off XJT property (and all CAL pilots recalled).

Begs the question: new hires at CAL after April?

well perhaps the "118" actually about 112 in all, and the 200 or so preferential interviews from xjt after that.

So by summer hopefully ,all of us junior folks will advance by about 200 seniority numbers. Assuming no crazy arabs and oil does not shoot up even further than the $50-$55/barrel mark. Sorry I don't mean to be non-p.c.
