Hey guys. I have an interview with both and was curious as to which one to go to. I would prefer to commute outta KC and it seems those odds are most likely if I go with XJet. Both seem like good airlines but I guess my priorities are quick upgrade (I know don't chase that), commutability and QOL. I think I read somewhere here that a junior base for XJet is ONT and I think that is commutable from KC. Any advice would be fantastic. Thanks muchachos.

Upgrade is your priority huh? I bet you feel you're already qualifed to be a CA.. the man is just holding you back right? sheesh... you'll learn

You wanna commute from KC to ONT...have fun dude. Does Republic still require a training contract? Never sign a training contract, especially in the current hiring enviroment.

Commute from ONT-KC would be easy. XJT does it direct a a couple times a day from all of our bases. Any of the bases would have a decent commute. I think CHQ does it for the COEX side, not sure but i believe they are weight restricted alot. If you get ONT, or SAT there are alot of MCI overnights which would be perfect for you. Upgrade at XJT is 2 years and steady there. New bid just came out on the first for 96 more upgrades which is the largest upgrade bid we have done in a long time its usually 64. No training contract with XJT. Good luck either way. Definitely do both interviews though.

Go to Republic for your best chance at a quick upgrade, and more important...fast seniority. They started flying for Frontier recently, if Denver sounds good to you. Plus you'll be flying the sweetest 'small uplift jet' out there....the E170!
