XJET reserve guys I have a quick Question

Hey was wondering how much you guys on reserve are flying out of Newark these days. When i was on reserve in Jan and Feb I only flew about 5 days throughout both months combined on short call no pref. was wondering if you guys are getting used more or not. Im looking to bid reserve in august to have more time for something else. can anyone help out?

I got short call, no pref. got used ever day last week, a 4 day and a one day. This week, I'm on a two day with 2 days to go when I get back.

guess its not as much of a vacation anymore. on the bright side for you itll be over soon if they keep hiring which i hear they will. hang in there. any word where they are putting the new hires? when i was on reserve there were 45+ reserves on each day. i see this month its more like the 20's here

This month there were a few times that had 3-4 open pairings in CLE that were simply a 4-5day reserve stint in EWR..Day one was a DH to EWR and sit at the penitentiary inn and a DH back to CLE on the last day...

So I guess EWR is short, but thats for Captains..not sure about FOs.

I am sitting here in Newark right now on reserve. I havent been used much at all lately and i am on short call will fly. I have 3 days left of reserve this week and all the open time looks picked up. I would rather be flying than sitting in the crash pad but what can you do. I have been trying to figure out how scheduling works and i think its impossible to know. Getting houston based next month so we shall see how much flying i will get while on reserve there. CYA
