I too think the leather jacket is very nice. THE ONLY PROBLEM is that in addition to $10/Paycheck, or $20/Month coming out of your pay for the uniforms purchased from Cinta's, the leather jacket has a minimum of $25/Paycheck, or $50/Month to be deducted. That minimum is established by the leather jacket's company, so you HAVE to do it. SOOOO if you got the leather jacket also, your getting $70/month taken out of your paycheck for uniforms, and if your take home is only going to be ~$510/Month until "crossing-my-fingers" a new contract comes around, hell, that's almost 1/5 of your pay!!! I'm holding off on the leather, I got the blazer, and figure summer is here, I can postpone getting the leather until end of the year if I have too. BTW, get the Bancroft Hat, no the Cinta's, and the leather coats vary from ~$350, to about ~$380 for the full liner.

F$%* it!!! I am going just going to buy it. I am not into the payroll deduct for life thing. I hate seeing the deduction every check. Do you get paid every 2 weeks or is it bi-monthly? I will have to tighten the belt here for the first couple years it looks like. But I would rather tighten it here than at another carrier.

That's what I did . . . just bought it. Get the good one, too . . . or you'll wish you had. Pay is semi-monthly on the 1st and 16th. Welcome!

Unfortunately there's no zip-out liner . . . only the option of a permanent one. I didn't get that, either. I've been a CLE-based FO (as in, I do the walkaround every leg!) for all but 2.5 months of my over four years. Unlined jacket, no sweater, short-sleeve shirts . . . no problem. Your exposure time isn't that much . . . just the walkaround. You'll want black leather gloves and a black scarf, though. The only thing I find myself wishing for is a pair of those weird ear-cover-thingies . . . I think they're called "180s". Footwear is a tough one. You spend so little time outside, burly boots don't make much sense (made that mistake), and your feet will be hot and uncomtfortable for the majority of the time. However, light uniform shoes will end you up on yer keester (with cold toes) on an icy ramp in, say, Buffalo in February. Hope this helps.
