Posted in today's Freep.... Doesn't look like there's anyone internal to take the job. Was this finally the end of McDonnell, or had he been moved before this?

HA HA HA HA nice... 9-12 years exp. what drinking coffee and sittin on your arse? Problem solving... the only problem solving I ever saw was having a camera handy to prove the airplane damage was from a sparrow not a bag cart. Verbal skills= must speak Ebonics (which is total BS) to work at DTW... Travel benefits... you are the redhead bastard stepchild of Northwest... you are better off buying a ticket on travelocity... And as for pay... well that will be cut by 45% because we are in a scam bankruptcy... enjoy!

wait...DM did not have and of these qualifications...go figure

I saw him in the hall a few days ago. What's the source for him really being history?

Yep..he is really gone..took two Managers with him,one from Ramp Training, and the other was Manager of Luggage .....rumor has it he went to Airmark in MEM.

Crap Airmark ran pretty well.....at least on the AVRO side. O well I am sure he will be able to muck it up

yup the only hub you could generally count on rampies waiting for you to park you. Sure wasn't DTW where you show up 20 minutes ahead of schedule yet everyone has already gone home for the night.

For what is it worth, I "Heard" that he was starting his own ground handling company. Can't remember the source however.

Not a bad move he was never going to make any money working for Mesaba.

FYI, DM started at Mesaba as an AVRO FO in 2001, got furloughed after 911 and then joined managment. He hasn't always been on the darkside.

O

Sounds like he had a severe case of CYA. I know he busted a crew for blocking out early....go figure. I often heard from others around the system that DTW ground crews were just lazy and had a high turn over. Couple that with being already short staffed (ha ha) and also short equipment (just keeps getting better haha) and well FUBAR. CYA

Since when is a 49 Saab operater one of the largest in the nation. Even if you count the remaining Avro's and the CRJ, XJ is far from the largest. cya
