X-Country Time for Instrument rating

you might consider knocking it all out in a few days (that's what I did).. pick somewhere pretty far away (1500-2000nm) and just fly there, and then fly back. It might take you 4 days total, but you'll likely rack up ~30-35hrs of actual xcountry, and really learn some good stuff along the way. You might want a CFI along if you'll need to fly/file IFR - also a good learning experience.
