Why do people come to FI and ask total strangers who they should work for? I don't get it.

Because they don't know anybody who works at those airlines, and are trying to get any information they can in order to make the right decision.

Good point. It seemed like the instructors at my flight school only knew one airline, and one path to get there. It's good to have options, even if you have to weed through the BS to figure things out.
