OK, first of all, it’s not the school or the instructor that makes the pilot, it’s the pilot that makes the pilot. Just like any and every other school out there, your only going to get out of it what you put into it. Sure your going find one or two less than average instructors there, but they have multiple others that are exceptional. So if this is a concern to you, do your homework, go there (or wherever you decide to go) a few days early and talk to people, meet some of the instructors and find one that you like. I know undoubtedly that the director over there, Jerry Dilk, will bend over backwards for you.
Second of all, the whole getting on with a regional at 1200 thing has nothing to do with westwind. It has to do with the airline industry and you. They can show you the door, but you have to be tenacious enough to do what it takes to go through it.
