About to get my Private Certificate....Just wondering what it costs for the written....I just finished up my night flight and got a few more flights to make and I'll be all done....I ve heard written exams vary in price...what should I expect to pay???

By the way night flight in Over Tampa was great...calm winds, over 20 miles visability, no turbulence...great stuff. You could see large jets decending and landing at KTPA....pretty cool stuff....it seemed strange because I was at 2500 ft and looked like I was flying at 1000ft....I kept glancing at the guages to make sure....Overall I loved it...

Anyway, if ya got some guestimates as to what I'll be paying....that would be great. thanks.

$90 for CATS, $80 with AOPA discount.

Gets expensive after a while. I'm working on number thirteen.

We get $90 for Lasergrades where I work.

Yes, $90 for LaserGrades is standard. If you check out the LaserGrade website, you will see that $45 of that goes to the LaserGrade folks, and the other $45 is money for the FBO (or who ever administers the test).
