Now that's pretty presumptuous.Timebuilder said:To answer that question, you have to have learned about how Christ behaved amongHis disciples, and how He spoke with and dealt with Man throughout time.
My impression is this, He would taste it, and say that it was good. He would say that this plant improves yeild, and is more resistant to the pests of the field, and can therefore be used to feed many millions of hungry people the world over. I think He would see that as being "good."
Oh jesus (pun intended), I swore to myself I wouldn't get involved in any religious BS on this board, but....Timebuilder said:Presumptuous? It's based on what we know of how Christ cares for the feeding of the hungry, how we are our brother's keeper, and how we are to be good stewards.
He presumes that we would have learned these things about Him, and from Him.
No $hit. I should have kept my trap shut.jarhead said:

Based on what you KNOW or what you BELIEVE? What I believe has no relevance here. What you believe does if you state it as fact. To presume to know what a dude who's been dead for 2000 years would say about something is...well, presumptuous.
These threads are seductive, aren't they?Hugh Jorgan said:I should have kept my trap shut.

Yeah, UNBELIEVABLE.Timebuilder said:You know what the really interesting part is? He did all that, endured the mocking, the pain, the crown of thorns, the rejection, the cross, the whole thing, for what?
For us, you and I, so that we could spend eternity in joy with Him.
Wow.
What an individual finds believable, or not, doesn't really correlate with what is or isn't true.Yeah, UNBELIEVABLE.
I'd say that depends on the individual.Snoopy58 said:What an individual finds believable, or not, doesn't really correlate with what is or isn't true.
Funny how much that applies to politics as well.Snoopy58 said:What an individual finds believable, or not, doesn't really correlate with what is or isn't true.
