I really hope the companies stay separate. It would be such a mess to merge the pilot groups. I also heard that it is an advantage to stay separate because of the "distribution" of AMC contracts.
Actually I think they'll definitely be hiring PFEs. We lost some S/Os back to the left seat and they will need them for the certain extension of our two DC-10 freighters. We don't have enough F/Es to crew what we'll be flying when (and if) the DC-10 PAX birds show up.What is the outlook for hiring PFE's?

Not exactly, some of the hotels in the states are down right horrible. But what can you do when the military bases are in the middle of nowheresville....nice hotels everywhere
