Based on the latest marketing forecast and anticipated fleet changes, Flight Operations to recall all furloughed pilots.

Which aircraft types will likely get the returning furloughees? The MD11s? Do you guys still operate DC10s?

Any chance of hiring?

New bid out, DC-10 start going away July 31st with last one gone in Nov. This accelerated retirement is to accommodate the addition of more 747-4 airframes (# unknown at this time). All returning furloughees (Welcome Back!) will goto MD-11, displaced DC-10 pilots will go to either MD11 or 747 based on what they hold.

On a sad note this will be the end of an era at World with the retirement of the 3 pilot crew aircraft. The PFE's will be missed....

Sad, but this has been coming for a long time. I hope all those PFE's either got their pilot certs or find a new home. Good luck to all those sitting sideways.

Great news about the 747-400s on the way. I am betting that World and Kalitta are trying to snap up some of the former JAL birds...
