Now that World has purchased North American, is there any plans on getting rid of the 767's? Any plans to merge the two companies?

Salary and benefit differences

Looking at some of the ground position pay scales between the two companies, World being quite a bit higher for Dispatch than NAA, especially when you compare the cost of living between Peachtree City and JFK.

I know its early in the purchase process, but does anyone know if the salaries will move upward at NAA to closer match those at World? It seems thus far that this will be a transparent ownership change with nothing else changing for the foreseeable future.

I did hear that NAA is getting another 767 sometime this year to add to their already ETOPS 180 fleet.

The 767s are part of the reason that World wanted NAA. Apparently it isn't easy getting hold of 767s these days. Both companies will be kept separate except for some management/marketing positions. Those will be specified later. As I understand it, we (NAA) won't be receiving our new 767 until next year.
Both pilot groups are currently in negotiations.

AC welcome to our nightmare. Just kidding things are not that bad yet. Of course I would had rather seen internal growth with our $26 million but I can not think of a better airline to elope with. I would think that the fact that we are both Teamsters should be a benefit. We already have a "Do not cross picket line" language in our contract. That should be a great benefit to you pilot group in getting your first contract. I personally would like to see the our groups merge to avoid the proverbial whipsaw.

I was wondering if your pilots have a trip rig or min day?

Which 767s are you referring to? Are these aircraft NAA already had planned on, or are these the two that World signed letters of intent on, back when World thought they were going the 767 route.

The 767 is one that we were planning on getting independantly. Nothing at all to do with World.
We are setting up dialogue between our pilot groups. Neither group wants the "Parent Company" to allow whipsawing. I believe that both of our groups have the same concerns and goals. Give our groups a chance to work together and we'll go forward from there.
I'm on the NAA EXCO and I've received an e-mail from your EXCO Chair, thanks to MD11Drvr. We look forward to working with you all.

The work "rules" here are so fluid that I wish I can definitively tell you what our trip rigs are. I believe that we get six hours of flight credit per duty day, not counting the first. The first day would be about half. Obviously, if you fly more, the higher of the two numbers will be used to calculate pay. Sorry, some of the NAA guys here are much better with that stuff. Where's PilotBob?
