I interviewed on the 16th and 17th and was offered a job on the 23rd. I start class on the 8th.

Congrats on the job offer!!!! I'm still waiting to hear anything. I still think I got the job. If I get the offer I hope it's for the Oct. 22nd class. I have to give my current employer two weeks notice.

Thanks. World's Chief Pilot called me at 10:15 pm on the 23rd to offer me the job so that I could give my employer the 2 weeks notice. He said he was 98% sure I was going to the MD-11. but that there was a slight chance that we would be going to the DC-10. I guess things are quite fluid there and they are very busy and getting new business all the time.

I got the offer too late to get the time off (Sept 16th session). Heard a rumor that there would be another interview session on the 30th of the month, but guess that didn't happen. Sometimes when you are honest you lose.

That's kind of harsh. Were you the one that no showed his trip after you thought it was covered?

No, my trip didn't leave till mid morning on the 18th, which I did make. Also, the boss couldn't believe that there might be some place better than his f*cking B.S. charter outfit. So his response was if I'm going to look for a new position, I might as well do it full time.
At least I can collect un-employment on his a$$.
