acaTerry was close to the actual pay scale. Starting pay works out to be $19.50/hr. This factors in brief time for each flight. Instructors typically have 4 students which affords them as many flights/day.

I saw an ad the other day that Pan Am will pay for advanced CFI ratings? How long does it take once you hit the property until you can start working on some of those ratings, i.e CFII, MEI?

Look on their website. Now they're offering free initial instructor ratings. They will pay for half of the advanced ratings if you come with the initial. It may be worth a look for those who don't have the money. I'm not sure, but I believe they are just looking for a committment to work there once complete.
