CO was No. 1 in December, to pay $100 on-time bonus

Larry announced in his weekly voicemail message Friday that CO was the No. 1 airline in December for on-time performance. Eligible employees can look forward to a $100 bonus check with their mid-month pay.

"Despite the challenging weather last month, we still had the best operation in the industry," Larry said. "You deserve an on-time bonus, and I'm proud to authorize it."

Huh??

$100.00 X roughly 50,000 employees = roughly $5,000,000 dollars.

How smart can the management over there be if they hand out 5 mil. while they are asking for 500 million.

Seems like they could just hang on to the 5 mil. and deduct it from the 500. That would be 495, right?

Please send help.

Sincerely,

B. Franklin

Ahhhh... I see.

This sounds kind of familiar. I really enjoyed when MY company gave a one-time $100 bonus to ALL the company's employees when I was losing around $400/mo to a year-long pay cut that only applied to the Captains. Made me feel REALLY special, getting that one week back while getting boned on the other 51 weeks of the year... At least I get the satisfaction of knowing that I personally subsidised my own bonus.
