Women in Corporate Aviation Career Scholarship NBAA
Women in Corporate Aviation, International (WCA) is pleased to announce the presentation of a $1,500.00 scholarship at the 2009 NBAA Annual Meeting &Convention, October 20-22, in Orlando, Florida.
The scholarship is open to a man or woman who is interested in continued pursuit of a career in any job classification in corporate/business aviation or those seeking to engage in a career in corporate/business aviation. The award can be applied toward the NBAA Professional Development Program (PDP) courses, flight training, dispatcher training, or upgrades in aviation education but cannot be used for general business course work. Applicants should be actively working toward their goals in business/corporate aviation and demonstrate financial need. In addition, applicants should not have received a previous award from Women in Corporate Aviation.
Applications must be postmarked by August 1, 2009 to be considered.
Incomplete applications will not be eligible.

WCA Career Scholarship Application Instructions
Please mail five (5) stapled (NO FOLDERS); complete application sets (one original and four copies) to:

Each application set should consist of:
- A Scholarship Application Form
- a 500-word, typed descriptive essay
- your professional resume
In addition copies of:
- all aviation licenses
- medical certificate
- the last three (3) pages of your pilot logbook
The selection criteria will include:
- achievements
- commitment to success
- dedication to career
- financial need
- attitude towards self and others
The descriptive essay should explain:
- your aviation history and goals
- the training for which you need assistance
- how the scholarship will help you achieve your objective
- your present financial need
- what you have done for yourself to achieve your goals
- where you see yourself in five and ten years
- where you would obtain the training
- Any previous educational scholarships, awards, and honors.
