3 People Killed After 2 Planes Collide in Air
WGBA-TV
Three people were killed when a cargo plane crashed near Watertown Sunday night. Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory says a multiengine, fixed-wing cargo plane collided with the same kind of cargo plane at about five tonight about seven miles west of
Juneau.
One plane landed at the airport in Juneau in Dodge County and
the other crashed and burned in a field at State Highway 19 and
County Truck Q in Jefferson County.
She says three people aboard the plane that landed in Juneau were not hurt. But the three people aboard the plane that crashed died.
She says the planes departed Milwaukee together, were flying
together and had the same owner.
The identification number on the plane that landed safely was registered to Milwaukee-based Air Cargo Carrier.
A dispatcher with the company, Randy Jackson, would only say the
company is investigating.
