I guess it is best to voice your concerns to your hotel committee. Having broadband on the overnights only increases your quality of life, and if you and your significant other have webcams, you can see the kids being tucked in, or they can show you their latest creation or homework they accomplished.

With internet radio, you can have a MUCH greater selection of audio entertainment than the local scratchy stations on the POS clock-radio in the room. And, with faster networks on the horizon, internet TV won't be far behind so you can get more than the 8 or 9 stations the hotel offers. Yes, us Fox News Junkies can finally catch our share of Fair and Balanced programming nightly!

So, just make it a priority in your next contract with your company and with your hotel committee to keep your quality of life high....especially in these days of concessions and so forth.

So why don't you guys buy the equipment, and provide free service... I'm sure you'll have no problem doing away with the competition.

I think the point is that hotels are idiots with their pricing. They have very low ongoing costs with their internet service. I would pay 5 bucks for it every single time I stay in a hotel. I will never pay 10 bucks for it. I'm sure a lot of others are like-minded. The hotel could easily lower the price and make more money.
